Hello, I’m Melissa

I’m a former therapist turned web designer for therapists.

Therapists need websites at a greater rate than ever. AND not all therapists (especially those just starting out) have a budget that can bear custom design fees.

I wanted to create a resource that would help therapists:

  • Avoid long waits for custom design

  • Feel less intimidated by tech

  • Be able to create a site that is all their own

  • Make updates to their site without having to rely on or wait for someone else to do

Kind notes from kind folks.

“You have helped me to overcome feeling stuck on how to start so I can create a website that is aesthetically pleasing and accessible while it also communicates who I am as a clinician, how to contact me, and how I can be helpful to potential clients. Thank you!”

-- Annie S.

“Melissa made the process of making my website so much smoother than anything I have tried in the past. It was the perfect middle ground of not doing it all on my own but also not having to pay a large sum to have an online presence. It is exactly what I needed at this point in my therapy career.”

--Molly M.

“I am incredibly grateful for Melissa as a resource. Her support lets me focus on the things I'm passionate about and good at while she does her thing behind the scenes to help us shine as therapists to the outside world!”

-- Erin N.

FAQs

  • Of course, everyone is different and processes information at a different pace. But we can tell you that we do recommend watching all of the videos in Module One which add up to 1 hour total (when played at normal speed).

To accommodate learning styles, you can slow down or increase the playback speed of videos, or download the transcripts to read.

After Module One you can pick and choose which videos to watch. Videos tend to be between 3-10 minutes (and a small number are as long as 20).

I know that if you’ve made it this far you’re invested in making the best website for your private practice within your budget. And you may be wondering if this is the right option.

Here’s what I know: Squarespace is an incredibly powerful tool and you can use it to make incredible websites if you invest a little time learning how to use it

I also know that having a website that looks thoughtful, organized, and polished will bring you more clients. It should work and look great on a desktop or a phone. It should have a consistent, trustworthy feel.

And there’s a lot more that goes into creating that than you would think.

And why should you know how to accomplish all of that on your own? You shouldn’t. Web design is not taught in graduate training programs for therapists, and you have a lot of other stuff to do for your clients and your business.

So, spend an hour watching the first set of tutorials (doesn’t even need to be all at once) and then another hour practicing what you’ve learned. What you will be able to do with that small investment of time, you will earn back so many times over.

People will be more likely to get in touch with you because your website will be a more inviting, user-friendly, and cohesive experience for them.

And your potential clients are who this is all for in the end, right?
